This stock is baffling. They cannot get the financing done. Yet, the stock is not trading as if they are done soon. You expect more desperate selling. Or shearholders are simply in denial?

A dump of 17000 just sank the price by 5c to 1.45. So, yeah not gonna take much to decimate the shear price even more. Its mindboggling. Poet can at last say OK, we got a deal pending approval of the authorities. But the silence? You gotto inform ALL shareholders Poet!!!

The selling today is about the financing closing at around $1 level. Wait till the selling starts about the company going insolvent. Unfortunately, the SP has a date coming up with the ugly Loonie.

Here's a thought. While this financing has dragged on a material event is about to happen which will be announced and which must be added to prospectus through an amendment. Did Poet just find a new JV partner?   The JV partner will supply funds to the JV but not to Poet so Poet still needs to raise funds to support overhead in Canada/US.

This is a material event. If it happened. They HAVE to release. They can just say subject to Poet raising funds such and such has agreed to a JV. There is no announcement, so it did not happen. Nothing happened till they NR it.

Learn to read. Material events like a LOI for a joint venture are not disclosed until signed. If Poet expects to sign an LOI any day now it has to stall on the financing and advise Maxim that an amendment to the prospectus is going to be required.

At this stage Poet has the oblgation to stop the massacre of the share price. There is nothing stopping Poet from saying OK, that did not go well. We are exploring other options. Silence simply means there is absolutely nothing going on. But, you can dream.

I so agree Wintersun.   Why would they not say something?  No doubt the CEO and directors own shares.  Their own shares are losing value.  Even if they are not that concerned about everyone else's investment, at least concern for their own investment should make them calm and reassure shareholders.  Silence allows people's imagination to consider their must be
