A surprising number of daytraders fund their trades via employment as baggers for a supermarket chain, Thanks to 24 hour service by supermarkets, a daytrader can work the afternoon shift to facilitate the opportunity to daytrade.  

When an investor buys, that person is called a bagger for holding shares at the end of the day that are worth less than the purchase price = a paper loss.     

When daytrading baggers experience a losing day, they are not called baggers because they are not holding shares at day's end = a permanent loss. This loss is of little consequence for the bagger daytraders. It means a box of KD for dinner on losing days and the Big Mac combo on winning days.
