Foxconn must believe that Poet's optical engines will cost less and consume less power allowing it to gain market share.

That is a fact.Foxconn determined the best in class is POET for numerous reasons. Less cost,less power required are the determining factors & optical interposer perhaps the core reason they choose POET.

You are making all this stuff simply up. You do not know any of the specifications about these products. Whether it is Tech specs or the pricing. You have none of that. You do not know whether Hyper Photonics refused to sell to Foxconn or what the reason actually is. That is maybe what you think. It is totally factless, however.
