Most of the US trade imbalance with us is due to the export of cheap Canadian crude.  Placing a tariff on that will only hurt the refineries dependent on our supply and ultimately cause gas prices to rise in the US.  Those measures will ultimately hurt the US more than us. The last time the Americans tried to take over our country we set Washington D.C. on fire maybe this time we do it

There is no logic. He simply wants somebody else to pay for his bills. And in the case of his country, he wants other countries to pay for the US bills. Its childish, its untenable, they will simply have to remove him. Maybe 3 Impeachments will be a charm. Other than that, the world is in for a lot of unnessary hurt. Complements of a conman.

If you really want to get the Americans' attention, quadruple property taxes on Canadian real estate owned by non-resident Americans.

That's a dumb idea.  Most vacation properties in this country are owned by US citizens.  Forcing these people to pay quadruple property taxes would be considered discriminatory and would ultimately depress our real estate market.

Some U.S. states have higher property taxes for non residents. Even non-resident Americans, such as Florida. So don't talk about discrimination. Depressing the real estate market may not be such a bad idea. Do you have any kids trying to put a roof over their head? Or are you one of those boomers who says I made it, you can too? I had to buy my kid a house.

A cross border trade war has nothing to do with US politics. A worldwide trade war is what we are looking at. Poet closed its most of its US located activities, so how this affects Poet at this time we do not know. However we DO know Malaysia, Canada, Singapore and China are not part of any US state. Any effect is going to be NEGATIVE.
