Takeover?

Andy Bell just reported on BNN that Paradigm sees QHR as being a possible takeover candidate - the potential buyer is apparently Telus. GLTA

30, 60 , 90 day stock price ave are all about $1.28. Add 30% premium for buy out means $1.66. Some analysts have a $1.90 target price.

I think $1.66 would be on the low end and very unlikely considering the recent senior hirings.  If Telus were to get serious about making an offer, I'd expect other companies to take interest also.  I suppose the question will be how long do these companies let QHR grow before taking a run.  The bigger QHR gets, the more attractive it starts to look to US and other companies ...more

I believe that the clients in the emr would be a great fit for Telus. I do believe however that migrating customers is a huge task. It took QHR years, and a lot of Ontario funding to migrate Heathscreen customers.  For Telus, they have bought a number of private companies so far. I understand they intend to launch their own cloud based design platform to migrate their customers onto. It is ...more
