Visual Inspection of the 1st drilling must be POSITIVE....
RECO started drilling on January 11th and 7 days later they announce that they will commence the acquistion of 450 Kilometers of 2D seismic that is specifically tied to the active three well drilling program.
You acquire this seismic data to identify where the conventional oil is located.
Reco would not bother commencing the acquistion of the seismic directly tied to the three holes, if hole number 1 which they are drilling did not show positive indications to date. It would be a waste of time to look for oil if you did not have the source rock.
Visual inspections must be showing a DARK RICK ORGANIC SHALE, as was the case with Owambo basin. Seven days of drilling is sufficient time to know as you can see the rocks and Jarvie is no rookie. He must already know.
