Maintenance

I think people are just a lttle skitish about the maintneance related shut down. There was not a lot of information, and when this happens, people tend to imagine the worst. This is especially the case here where there has been a huge increase in the stock proce ofver the last 6 months or so. They see that kind of info and they decide to try and protect their gains. Very understandable. But the worst is something is broken and needs to be fixed. Then they will fix it and  start drilling again.  These kinds of things happen. They have plenty of resources to weather this kind of thing. For me, nothing has changed. This is a stock with a great future. Fantastic Fundamental! I like to follow Buffet. Buy a good stock and hold it. Do not try and time the market. You usually just end up losing money doing that.

Sorry, this in inaccurate.  No...the worst is that they stick pipe and lose the well.  Actually, the worst is an undergrouund blowout, lose the well, and have an expensive problem to fix.   Or they could possibly pull out and still have a vialble well from surface to where they've drilled.   They likely have insurance which would protect them in a worst case ...more

The geologic section they are drilling has never been previously drilled....they have no clue as to pressures, density, mud weights etc., so, am fairly certain they are taking extra precautions while drilling and that is why it is taking so long to drill this well. Don't forget they have the upper part of this hole behind casing, so the risk of losing the entire well is minimal. Also, on the ...more

My point is that the stock dropped because of the uncertaintly associated with shutting down the drilling. There are lots of reasons why. My basic point, is that they have enough resourcees to deal with what ever the issue is. You may have a delay, but the holes will be drilled and we will know what lies underneath.

They Did Not Shut the drilling. What are you talking about. It's replacing broken parts.

From the RECAF NR. "The Company has taken a short break in drilling operations due to maintenance issues and expects to start drilling ahead in the next couple of days to a permitted total depth of approximately 3,800 m (12,500 feet). Reaching total depth on this second well (6-1) is anticipated during the first week of July 2021. Short break means they shut down drilling. My ...more

I can't see the short break causing such a decline in the SP, mainly because most wouldn't know what kind of risks that entails. Some of the hole is behind casing, and some is open hole. The intermediate casing is massive, and we don't know why they designed it that way, so they may have run a second int casing string prior to shutting down for maintenance. They likely overbalanced the ...more

Honestly Turn to right ? You think because they have some rig repairs lasting a couple days that they would run another string of casing ? That would cost several hundred thousand plus cement. No you pull out of the hole make your repairs & deal with any hole problems after, of wich is usually minimal & yes you over balance the hole as a precaution.

If it was a little more than rig maintenance do you think they would have included it in a PR, or do you think it is a little more than that. I'm thinking a major delay or more than 2-3 days, otherwise why say anything at all, it could just be chalked up to be slower drilling. If they know there are bentonitic shales (or anything akin to the joli fou) or cleaving or sloughing shales it can ...more

Not really sure why they included it in a PR, keep investors informed prior to shorts having knowledge of a delay ? Trying to put a timeline on a rig related issue is usually a best guess at the time but usually measured in hours or days. I have run casing strings for multiple reasons over my career & you pointed to some good reasons in your post . I am sure your a very smart person with the ...more
