I thought this well was going to 30,000 feet.

Now they seem to be stopping at 12,000 feet. Did they ever explain the reason for stopping rather than drilling to full depth

as far as i know, it was always planned for 12,000'  that's near the drill rig's rated capacity.

They never planned to drill beyond 12,500 feet. This is only a stratigraphic test well. The basin itself is what is 30,000 + feet.

Uhhh the average well depth is 5000-7500 feet, what on earth would possess you to spew this garbage about 30,000 feet?
