@BPultra: Who is this Thorjac from discord, any idea if he is credible? I saw this on a few other boards, but I don't spend any time on discord (I was put off after only a few weeks). I could be completely off base here, but the image really piqued my interest and I started to look into it further. And from what i can gather, I can't make sense of any of the numbers. Comparing the diagram

Thank you Turn! I've been calling out this Thorjac for a while, both on this board and on discord.  He appears to be interpreting the seismic data from the images Recon has posted - this is ludicrous!  The seismic images posted have no information about what processing has been done, whether they are migrated sections, and no ties to the wells with synthetics have been shown.

So how did your chat go? I found the interaction very interesting and informative, all of which was conducted in a civil manner for the most part. For the record, I am not a geo so I look to people with expertise and experience in the field to shed light on areas where I have limited competence.

I got clarification on exactly what I had wanted to know. The reserve data was only based on assumptions to prove a point on potential scale. And it clarified how some of the numbers from thorjac we're calculated. I also learned why there is some interest in the formation that was not analyzed from the cased hole logs (1100m carb zone). And that some of the geos think there is sufficient zonal

Well seeing as the 1100m carbonate zone didn't have any open hole logs, and was not included in the detailed analysis in the report, ya, I wanted to know why it was interesting to thorjac. But I'll ask you @pacer001, why do you think it is of interest as it was essentially left out of the analysis? Please, what data would you use to draw conclusions that it is a formation of interest.

there is some serious group think going on on that discord server. Any one without a "to the moon" Outlook is challenged. Obviously there e are some highly qualified people there but there's a ton of assumptions in the analysis. The analysis may well prove to be correct and I seriously hope it is but what concerns me about the discord is the group think. The stock is not moving

look at the end of the day it's going to be the drillbit that tells the story, whether it's a two-bit company analyzing 2D or a major using the highest technology its the drillbit that has the last word. Both shell's graff-1 and totals venus 1x well are targeting billion bbl targets. Total just broke a record drilling a well in the deepest water targeting a billion bbl target that

Ebenizer3, very good points and you are so right; all the goobly-gook talk isn't worth a penny if there is no oil - FOUND. And the only way to find oil is drill baby drill! Lately, with all the latest technology and batteries of so called experts there have been some spectacular busts, like the Total one you mentioned. And even BP not too long ago wrote off a billion dollars of exploration
