Didn't some of the geoligists posit that the offshore Namibian fields were the same make  up and geology as the onshore ? Is that the reason for the run -- it confirms there is oil in Namibia .Several 250-300 million barrel fields in each of the basins (5) would mean billions of barrels where they are cheap to drill . Would be great !! JMHO

One would think the geology in Namibia for onshore and offshore would be similar if not the same but I am not an expert.  What we do know for sure is that there is a lot of oil, and good quality light, in our neighbor to the north that is highly profitable, oil to the west in Uganda, ok heavy not that good quality, oil off shore of Namibia, huge gas finds to the south in South Africa, huge
