The Graff-1 well is located in Block 2913A in the Orange Basin where Shell is the operator and its partners are QatarEnergy and the national oil company of Namibia, Namcor. Impact holds a 20% interest in Block 2913B and was joined by TotalEnergies as operator in 2017, bringing significant deep-water drilling expertise to the Joint Venture, and in 2019 by Qatar Energy. Yup, hydro I find it very odd that no one is interested in their share. "NAMCOR, the Namibian state oil company, holds a 10% interest. " Edit:  No 5% buyers of NAMCORs share?

The way I see it, Namcor wants to keep their 10% stake in the offshore project and they were happy to take some cash from Recon to fund their future development costs in the offshore project. I think they have shown which project they believe in - offshore vs kavango.....

point is things are starting to move, not an apple to apple comparison, yeah offshore development 5-10 yes. the venus-1x spud 12/01/2021 and operations are on going. Shell was scheduled to drill in sao tome and principe and than head to Nigeria, so whatever graff-1 has was enough for them to load back up and drill graff-2 hopefully reco joins the party and spuds, that's what I am here for ...more
