Sir Richard, it can't be soon enough for me! We need to "drill baby drill" as someone said as long as oil prices are high.  My worry is all this talk of the "Putin Put" and him being thrown out and a Western friendly Russian govt taking over. They surly would pump and sell oil with abandonment to make up for lost production and income. Oil would tank.  Yup , a ...more

Before the war Russia was almost at full production. If the war ends where are they getting their money to add? The west is thinking of bringing Venezuelan back into the fold. it will take massive investment before they can start to fill any gap.

Rhertig, "where are they going to get the money?", Russia is a vast resource loaded country and Putin and his gang are sitting, literally on mountains of gold, etc. that could easily be used to finance things. Remember resource poor China is Russia's buddy. As to Venezuela, this is one of the nuttier things yet. Their oil industry is in shambles and their oil of such poor quality ...more
