More good news for oil ... wind winding down!

The world is finally waking up to the folly of wind energy. In addition to oil power plants being fired up again the wind folks are winding down.

In addition to the world leader in windmills, Aarhus, Denmark based Vestas, cutting back on production and having huge staff layoffs, we now have the below.

'One of the largest wind turbine producers globally, Siemens Gamesa (BME:SGRE) is considering cutting some 10% of its current workforce or 2,500 jobs, on the back of yet another 2022 guidance decrease. '

There was a great research report on wind and solar footprints. I can't remember all the details, but it went through the computation of land surface needed to power just a small portion of the plant. It was quite astounding on how much land was needed. And I'm sure it's only a matter of time before society starts hating these sprawling wind farms. Think about the foot print of ...more

Right you are yodog. Drive through Indiana and some places on the coasts you can see what a blight wind farms are on the landscape. They are also noisy and worse yet grind birds up incessantly - slaughterering untold millions with an unknown impact on the fragile environment. The environmentalists believed that bird flocks have intelligent collective consciousness and will learn to avoid the ...more
