Go to the Namibian geologic site ...public know life.....this area is pre Cambrian....which means there was not any life on land ....so how can there be any oil !

How can there be any oil? Tusumis that swept the life far inland - according to a new theory that would explain why there are dinasaur bones concentrated in northern Namibia. But be that as it may that is the least of Recaf's problems number one being they don't have the money, and doubtful they can ever get what they need, to explore and drill on the scale needed to find serious oil ...more

You're a colossal idiot if you think oil is dead dinosaurs, as there wasn't enough of them in the entierty of the planet's history to create all of the oil.  Oil is decayed plant matter, microorganisms and a teensy snippet of animals.  Plant life on land and in the seas.  Don't post again.

Ok we all know now that oil comes from decayed ancient life; but "teensey" animals? Dinosaurs, a lot of them any way, were HUGE! I have actually seen their fossiled bones displayed in museums. This story of dinosaurs being the source of oil, even though their remains are probably in the material that later made up oil, started with the Sinclair Oil Company using a great big green ...more

Actually it seems the dinosaur story goes back to the thirties and a whole generation grew up believing it! From the web:  "The dinosaur connection became popular back in 1930, when an oil company adopted a dinosaur trademark and began to delight children everywhere with traveling exhibits featuring the awe-inspiring creatures."
