A new page?

Despite the rhetoric on this board there is potential significant upside to this stock that may be based around published intentions to explore the Damara fold, and of course the yocoming 5-1 drilo and 6-2 sidetrack. .  The company is proceeding slowly and it is not inconceivable that investors and company want to see a 4th line of seismic and eFTG survey before drilling.  To drill 5-1now without this extra data doesn't really make sense when the delay may only be a three weeks ect.
Cheers to the longs and new investors.  Good luck

Total manipulated con job here....read my post where oil is created over time ...not here ...even if they find a gusher ..lol ..there is no way to get it to market ..lol...buy African oil has the same problem in Kenya ...and the actually have oil

With all due respect Frank, I would prefer to listen to the three professional Geologists available for discussion on Discord, and the company Geologist Dr. Granath.  You are in a bit of a vacuum if you can only preach one potential.

Suit yourself ...ostrich this one is going to zero

You are right on Rex.

Interesting rex, and thanks.  Hopefully, they do this line before drilling starts. I welcome the additional data for de-risking it further,

Rex Did you communicate with the company on the noted extra line at 5-1?
Comment by rexdunx on Dec 21, 2022 1:13pm
All investors I know are asked to keep IR communications out of public discussion.  I do know there is consensus among long holding investors on some platforms that the 4th seismic line will potentially be run along the new road that  crosses the 5-1 building site...just finished very recently.  The eftg plane just completed what looks like a test flight as well.

they are months away from anything ,except a short attact which is coming with these low volume days !!!
Comment by rexdunx on Dec 21, 2022 1:21pm
Yeah it would be genius to short when all the 30 day tax loss sellers buy back in Jan.  Good luck shorting the next buying cycle? Lol

"Test flight"? I think you are on the wrong board. Recaf has nothing to do with airplanes.
Comment by rexdunx on Dec 21, 2022 1:23pm
There is a plane equipped with eFTG tech been sitting for 3 months on tarmac.  Confirmed it took off yesterday for what looks like a test flight.  The contractor is independent but yes... Recon Africa's eFTG survey has a lot to do with that airplane.
Comment by pacer001 on Dec 21, 2022 1:30pm
Thanks Rex. Did not know. I thought these aerial surveys were over.
Comment by JohnnyDoe on Dec 21, 2022 6:04pm
It's a new technology. They've been waiting for some time for the permits to use the technology in country. Apparently that plane took off, buzzed around and returned to the airport this week. That has longs thinking that the permits are received and that the acquisition of new data is imminent. My understanding is that this tech compliments that 2D seismic data and should enable the ...more

Johnny, as a geophysicist I'm puzzled by Recon apparently going back to large-scale potential field mapping (gravity) after starting with a large-scale potential field survey (aero mag).  These potential field surveys don't provide anywhere near the level of detail that seismic data does, they are typically used to highlight a large area of interest (like Recon theoretically finding a ...more

Jim I was wondering if the gravity will be used to help pin point the basement rocks, since it seems the seismic interpretation didn't do such a good job. (I'm referring to the well at 8-2 which was to be drilled xxxx(?) metres, but td well short of that suggesting they hit the rocks of interest much shallower than the interpretation). Maybe the gravity data can help there. Just thinking ...more

YoDog, depth to basement would be a good thing to nail down, but I think gravity data won't do as good a job as mag data - basement rocks have very little density contrast with most sedimentary rocks, but their magnetic signature is quite different.  I still don't see this data helping to delineate specific drilling locations. A quote from Recon's chief geophysicist that was in ...more

Highly informative article on this new technology as applied in Egypt.  This should be encouraging for anyone with the patience to hold their stock for another 6 months. Keep in mind this new process will cover less than 10% of Recon's total license area.  Application of eFTG can be useful in the other 90%, and doing so should come up with valuable targets.  Not sure what this ...more

Not that informative...mainly cheerleading from a company that wants to sell this service.  Granite, carbonates, consolidated sandstone and shale all have similar densities of 2.6-2.8 g/cc.  The presence or absence of hydrocarbons really doesn't make enough difference.  Only young, unconsolidated sands and shales, and more notably salt, have a materially different (lower ...more

Good point Jim The gravity must somehow be able to discern the prospects. The known targets are less dense, the hydrocharbon portion of the system will give a slightly low density ..??? Will be interesting to see what they say when it's done.  I didn't realize there was a PR until now. Ouch.
Comment by rexdunx on Dec 21, 2022 8:17pm
Yes this is my understanding as well basically.  The 2d seismic combined with eftg data gives them equivalent of 3d seismic imaging.  This is how it was explained to me.  I am no geologist however.
Comment by Frank007 on Dec 21, 2022 9:02pm
Well I am a geologist ....makes perfect sense to me if you want to dump your $.25 cent shares on the ignorant public

Rex, I wasn't asing for anything other than, have you communicated with them? Looks like you have. This is good to know ... that one person actuallly gets responses from the recon IR. Me ... 0% and I quit on them.  the airborne gravity survey shouldn't take long to do, but the question to ask is; how long to process the data? These modeling programs can do quick work of complex data ...more
