Will the Canadien people really roll over so easily?

Canada has signed a pledge to "totally phase out combustion engine vehicles by 2040."

Now where I live in the South, in a relatively affluent area, there are plentiful electric car re charging stations. Several of my friends have Teslas that they use for everyday commenting. But they also have nice big gas powered cars and suvs for long distance driving.

Now I used to do business at some paper mills in relatively developed southern Canada by the Great Lakes. Still if I ventured too far off the beaten paths I could not count on quickly finding a gas station quickly if needed. I just wonder how Canadiens will take to them losing their oil fueled vehicles?

I will tell you one thing. I live in the very deep Deep South and if they try to take the good ole boys huge trucks and gas guzzlers away their will be blood all over the place!

In the too distant past they fought a war with our North and fought a bitter bloody long war!

ps
Canadiens are very blessed in that they never fought wars inside or outside the country for themselves expect for international obligations  to the Crown for like wwii etc.

Ok Preston Manning pushed to break up western and eastern Canada but with his death that so called secession movement died.

Oil is still the future and I wish you long suffering Recaf holders the best but am wary.

Rumours of Preston Manning's death have been greatly exaggerated....

Oops; sorry, rights  you are. He is still alive but retired. 25 or so years ago he was quite a force, at least in Western Canadien politics and was even getting a lot of media coverage.
