Hmmm, why would they need to go from 5000 to 10000 PSI BOP? Did someone say gas? Lots of it? Oh, well does that mean there's an active petroleum system present? I wonder...

Most probable reason for a 10,000# BOP is that they penetrated the trust fault and are now drilling in the subtrust which has a different pressure system....
