Can we fire this dogsht management or what

6 straight months of bleeding ,,, lol we haven't even started the recession yet,,, lol how low can this even go,,, we should pool together and perform a mutiny on the boss man

Stephen Reitman deserves to have his a$$ kicked for his complete disregard for minority shareholders. I don't care how hated retail stocks are at the moment, the valuation is grossly cheap. And for those that say their debt agreement doesn't allow capital returns that is completely false, the debt is backed by the real estate and inventory, the company has freedom to do with their cash ...more

It's almost like they just don't care. Steven owns half the voting shares. If insiders bought a measly 100,000 shares COMBINED at market, share price might triple with this low flot and low volume. I wonder how Steven would feel if I offered him $50M to scoop up the whole company (including the $100M of real estate with no debt on it). He would laugh me out of the room of course, but I' ...more

Well we can fix this. I just bought another 9000 RET.A at .79 and .80  Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.  BUY all you can
Comment by Mephistopheles3 on Jun 29, 2022 4:39pm
Good point - I bought more in the mid 80's a few days ago and I can't put anymore in. Right now, there's no link with the fundamentals or intrinsic value calculations / FCF cash flows, it's just trading going in and out which is creating some good buying opportunities everywhere.  There was no actual news today that would explain a large decrease, other than the market is ...more

Hope some of the regulars here grabbed some at this price. Maybe the darkest days are behind us.

Any speculation as to what happened today? Things have been quiet for a week and just kind of exploded today with no news. At first, this morning was just the Desjardins buyer, but others started to get in and buy in the $1 range.

A Raymond James buyer came in and bought 50k shares of the voting shares. No incoming news IMO. Just common sense for deep value. Shares went from $3 to $1 on no news so it could go back to $3 on no news. Market cap still ridiculously cheap.

I have an open order to buy 10,000 shares (voting) at 1.26 and the brokers are showing only 500 on the buy side. Any idea why and how they do this?
Comment by pennylane101 on Jul 20, 2022 11:35am
That is unusual.  Did you check to see if your order has been partially filled in the secondary market?
Comment by tomperns on Jul 20, 2022 11:46am
Yes 1,300 of the 10,000 filled and now the bid got bumped to 1.28, but before the bid got bumped to 1.28, they were only showing 500 shares open instead of 10,000.

Baystreet for better or worse works off income statements and buybacks.  Growth gets all the love while balance sheet ignored.  Lulu and Aritzia.

I bought 100k shares over the past couple weeks and the market didn't triple. Why is it that when I read posts from small investors, "minority" investors and listen to them whine about management because their stock price went down last week, I feel like you all have brains the size of a pea and the attention span of a chipmunk.
Comment by tomperns on Jun 30, 2022 3:18pm
I've bought almost 100k shares over the last 2 months (voting shares) and yes they got swallowed and I'm down 30 percent just like that. But less than 10,000 voting shares trade daily on average, so if insiders bought within a tight window, i promise you the result would be different. I would also like to add that most trades are changing hands between anonymous (voting shares). I think ...more

BTW, I don’t believe for a minute that you bought 100,000 shares while you were bashing this stock less than a week ago.
Comment by Northforce13 on Jul 01, 2022 7:36pm
Was this what you were referring to as "bashing the stock"? Ha... haha.... hahaha.   So I guess in your chipmunk sized brain, stating that your expectations of $5/share by Christmas is... like DUH LOL... = "bashing the stock". Your right, I didn't buy 100000 shares.  Can't fool you.  I have 122400 shares, not 100000.  You got me.  Just ...more

Still don't believe you own 122k shares. And $5 would be a market cap of $250M so not crazy at all for a company generating over $500M in sales, $30M-$50M in profit, $200M book value and zero debt. Good day to you sir.

I've always found it fascinating to try to understand how some humans think I don't disagree with that, in an all things are going great all the stars are aligned scenario.  What I do disagree (to put it mildly) with, is the idea that it's realistic in any way to see this stock go from 0.80 to 5.00 in 6 months.
Comment by Mephistopheles3 on Jul 04, 2022 9:56am
Don't disagree with the comment that we need patience on this one.  Consumer discretionary is the worse performing sector across the board and all names are getting hit, not just RET  (e.g.  Home depot, Aritzia, etc..).   It will take a couple of good inflation reports on top of a strong Q2 to start pushing this up.  Longer term, we might be looking at share ...more

This stock hit $3 right out of bankruptcy and went back down to $1 for absolutely no reason. I get that retail is getting slammed, but that is for companies with share prices baked in with rich PE ratios. So nothing has fundamentally changed from $3 other than macro environment and we are trading at a PE under 2 and 25 percent of book value.
