The last time

Reitman's was this profitable on a "per share" basis one would have to go back to fiscal 2011 when it's earnings per share was $1.33. The company had $4.35 in net cash and its shares traded in the $17 range. 

Today, on a twelve month trailing basis, the company has earnings per share adjusted for non cash gains of $1.258 and net cash of $1.37.  In fiscal 2022 net income was $0.899. 

You can pick up shares of Reitman for $3.60 with almost 40% of its market cap in cash. 


Not a bad deal.

  Fact is the retransitioning is well under way and showing super success. Its just that investors have yet to grasp this return, not only to growth but to being a virtual cash cow again. We will see $800 million in sales this year, up 25% from F2022. E commernce sales will exceed $200 million when Q4 reports,  yet customers are returning   to a brick-and-mortar ...more
