Unless you want to pay more for the same benefits such as dividends except voting in which the majority of RET shares are held by the Family, Ret.a is your best bet..

There is no "Preferred" Both classes are common

At one point, the Ret.A shares were similar to preferred shares as they were guaranteed an annual 5 cent dividend.  It's a real head scratcher as to when that changed.  I guess it was never an issue to bring up because dividends were declared on a regular basis.  It really doesn't affect my holdings because my entire Ret holdings are in the voting shares.   Why ...more

I own both RET and RET.a ; in the end they will be treated equally both are a buy with the numbers we have on hand right now.  I bought them during the proceedings so I am buying very passively right now but I expect good moves in the next few QT and believe we will hit $8 at some point.
