"Publication of Q4 numbers in April 2023 should provide the board an adequate basis to decide to reinstate a dividend payment."

Not to be a pain but what are the Q4 numbers? That quote is not useful otherwise.

I think concentrating on the dividend reinstatement in conjuction with earnings is unwise. It's just setting flippers up for disappointment and could cause the stock to sell off given the likelhood of it happening right now is relatively low. The uplisting would and should always come before a dividend reinstatement.

Luckily, you're not the one that decides. The burning question on everyone's mind is.... will it be 5 cents or 10 cents.

No, I'm not the one that decides. But common sense would dictate that if they were interested in giving the share price a boost, their first order of business would be to move back to the TSX. And if they haven't even bothered to do that the chances of issuing a dividend while still on the V exchange are quite low imo.

Its not Reitmans its the TSX that decides if they return to the indice

Obviously Reitmans has to submit an application to uplist, and if they did qualifying would be a given. The fact that they haven't bothered to do this already is concerning. It should have been first on the agenda after emerging from creditor protection.

Not to mention the only way most reputable analysts would cover the stock is for it to be listed on the TSX, as well as certain funds etc being willing to own it. It makes no sense for this to not have been initiated already, and would make even less sense to start paying out a dividend before most analysts are even able to cover it, or funds are able to own it.

Is it so farfetched to assume that they could announce an uplisting to the TSX and a dividend at the same time?

I agree lack of volume shows there is no analysts/banks that cover or buying the stock, just retail they need a TSX request and fast, or maybe they want to privatize the company? Just speculating here..
