Tough to say. It did this before the last quarterly too, just before it tanked on earnings. So it's either speculation, good news leaking, or pushing it up to give it a cushion for the potential drop.

And looking back the quarter before last it did an epic run going into eanings then took a huge dump the day of. Could be good news but given the last two quarters pre strength definitely not a given. I wouldn't chase the FOMO imo until you see actual good news, but I'm now completely out of the stock so my opinion may be slightly biased ;-)

No worries. And contrary to my theory of wanting to be on the sidelines for earnings, the good news is if history is any indication, me selling is a sure fire sign that the share price is about to skyrocket almost immediately :-)

I still believe this is conservatively worth at least $10 in good times and in a "normal" interest rate environment. Canadian stocks are trading at a HUGE discount relative to US stocks. In other words, being pessimistic on the economy is mostly priced in already.
