Meltdown

Wow what a meltdown.  Feels like I dodged a bullet by exiting.  RET seems pretty cheap, only problem is the global economic background.

Nice sale. not just global environment. the bull on this stock got people believing that the operations were gaining momentum, which turned out not to be the case. also, the idea of buybacks and dividend likely over promoted as well. Board probably stays away from that given the operations took a turn for the worse. Maybe they need to revamp the stores?  never been in one, but consumers ...more

Hold on a sec Valuecat.  What did they earn in Q2 again?  What's the market cap of the company?  What's the P/E ratio if you only use Q2 and ignore the other 3 quarters?  I'm not very good at math :)

I find Stockhouse really helpful in giving me a sense of Retail mindset.  Lots of alpha here. Stockhouse indicator is Negative.

Global economic background, resulting declining revenue, and a management team that has made it pretty clear they are unwilling to even take the smallest steps to make the stock more palatable to the investment community. IE uplisting to the TSX.  Until that happens the stock will continue to trade poorly imo. And yes nice to have dodged the bullet.  I made the decision before earnings ...more
