Very self serving. If he thinks the voting shares a worth a 50% premium I know someone that will vote against it. Voting or non voting shares are worth the same.

It's never a straight 50% it would be some fraction and under this scheme yes vote worth more when going to one class but non voting gets to then vote so then that has a value, The voting would give up the one vote worth as 38 million shares would become voting which would dilute the vote of the Ret share today, sure each now would have same after when it comes to div but they RET.A can't ...more

For every 38 RET.A you should have 13 RET shares or there abouts just to keep balanced and have a vote,  I have around 1 to 4 and it's worked very well for me imo

"The stock appears to be undervalued by a factor of 2.5 to 3 times," the letter said. Donville Kent holds more than 5% of voting shares in Reitmans, Gamble told Reuters. The letter was dated October 12, 2023 when RET.A was trading at 2.45 range.  So this Toronto-based hedge fund firm Donville Kent Asset Management see the stock worth 6.10-7.50 range
