Liking the DRX HPFG looks kind of 'frothy'.  Great momentum but market cap already very high considering what it actually is. QSR in Canada in an already saturated sector with SSSG declines happening everywhere.  Press releasing every single opening seems pumpy.  Reminds me of Spot Coffee back in the day.  I'd say expanding way too fast and will be figuring out what ...more

Tree island steel is also very cheap no matter which metric you use. There is a lot of balance sheet strength much like we have with Reitman's but the stock price is going nowhere. Maybe one day that will change.  Spot coffee was a Canadian company trying to be the next Starbucks. That didn't work out too well.  Poor execution is usually the downfall for these smaller ...more

In first 3 quarters Tree Island Steel management has bought back over 1 million shares.  There are around 26 million shares outstanding.  Management gets it. Why isn't Reitmans management using same playbook?  Its simple. And easy!

I've owned TSL in the past and was watching it in the 2.60's recently debating but didn't pull the trigger.  It's definitely been in the "why is it so cheap?" category for years.   With HBFG I would guess it will.have a reckoning at some point but that doesn't mean it can't move up on fomo and dreams during the honeymoon stage before actual metrics ...more

So Happy Belly puts out a PR announcing a new restaurant last night after the close, then another PR for another new restaurant this morning 12 hours later.  To da moon as they say lol  ;-)

Wow, HBFG appears unstoppable.  At the rate it's rising $2 isn't out of the question.  Market cap is already way too high but can't argue with the move.  Momo .... fomo .... schmomo No question it is on FIRE.
