Please explain how a higher volume helps a shareholder if the sp is going down? If I understand correctly my bank account recognizes and increase or decrease in sp. Volume is irrelevant

Well eventually I would like to sell and was hoping not in the .30's. I would hopefully like to make an almost 6 year investment worth my while. However this may be as good as it gets.
