If RHT had used ChatGPT for the coding, it would had saved

that $600k  in R&D cost. I strongly recommend RHT use ChatGPT for future system coding.

Send it to IR    Why post it here; I'll do it if you like

Hi, programmer here. Please do not strongly recommend anything related to coding when you have no idea how to code. ChatGPT is far from being able to code an application by itself. It can be used as a tool right now to help programmer when they have some questions, or speed up some tasks like documenting or unit tests.

yep, however the coding AI model had the occasion to obderve/read whatever you and others ever coded publicly therefore already has some advantage on the present coders if/when prompted with a professional coder prompt.

Alot of times it will give me wrong answers, you have to be carefull.

that is what i meant: facilitate coding. If you needed 5 programmers before, now you may need only  2. RHT still has  hiring ads on for 3 programmers..  I was computer science teacher and had a master degree in computer from U of T.

Again, ChatGPT is not able to replace programmers for now. It can't replace 1, it won't replace 3 for sure. When we reach AGI it might be able to, but we still have a couple of years ahead of us before that happens.

no matter how complicated coding looks, there are only 3 basic  things you need to know: sequence, selection and loops. AI can do this kind of mechanical things perfectly, yes,  more than humans. There are 50 million lines of codes for window 10. If you use ChatGPT to the job,  you do not need thousand of programmers. I predict that computer programmers as profession will disappear ...more

No profession will have to disapear because AI is a new technological paradigm  as a morphing tool into which we are all on the way to get immersed into it , it's not perfect nor will it become but it opens new illimited ways to human creativity in all professions/ means of production.... In the not too distant futur Jobs as we conceive them now will beonly for robots, our new slaves  ...more

Failure to distinguish between mathematics (knowing computation and computational algorithms) and numeracy (knowing what numbers represent and how they interact in the real world) has put a lot of egg on faces. I work in the numeracy area, and I know first-hand that current AI Chatbots can fail miserably at the kinds of synthesis and evaluation needed. I'm glad RHT has opted not to let a bot ...more

Most failures in today's AI models, besides the fact that it isn't perfect yet though close enough...rely on how it is prompted. I am pretty sure that you would devise better prompts in your field of expertise/knowledge that myself 'causeI'm not an expert at anything in particular. However most of your expertise/knowledge was obtained from somewhere in the Universal knowledge ...more
