Adherence will be challenging

And human nature says so. If a patient has daily readings, all good. Every Monday through Friday all good but can't miss more than 1 day per month during 30 day months. Every other day does not work for June and does not work for July if first reading taken on July 2. I think it's very hard to enforce. Patients can forget. They can neglect if they feel good. They can just be lazy and not bother. Human nature.

Really not sure where you are getting every other day regarding frequency.  Perhaps I have missed something, but my understanding is that a minimum of 16 readings per month in order to qualify for reimbursement. This would not equate 1 to 1 with respect to frequency (ie: every other day).  Cheers.

This "every other day" scenario came from my thoughts if I were a patient and wanted to be adherent. Would I take or have a reading taken every day of every month or every Monday to Friday or every other day or maybe just haphazardly. I admit that I don't know if patients sign a contract with an obligation to pay the monthly fee and then seek reimbursement from Medicare. And if the ...more
