Adrian Day (San Francisco)

Adrian Day at San Francisco Hard Assets conference recently made a case for investing in Freeport:..(great balance sheet, high margins and cash flow, plus long term demand for commodities, World class copper discoveries are rare  - even though exploration expenditures have risen, - and copper mines have a long lead time between discovery and start –up.) In his talk he failed to mention Reservoir but his freely distributed portfolio review October handout reported  he had “doubled our holdings in Reservoir Minerals early in the quarter…” and “our clients own over 5% in the company” ..so clearly he is a very significant believer and shareholder. (Seems he is  originally a Brit as is it seems are both Reservoirs top duo- Ingram and Thompson)

Good luck getting anything substantial from Ingram’s webcast tomorrow. It is tough to get access to Reservoirs Management – invariably they are out of office in Serbia (Belgrade is reputed to have a first class rated nightlife). Moreover Reservoir avoids the free access  US Hard Assets Conferences and free access  Canadian Cambridge Conference.  Like going to Costco  - you usually need to pay an entrance fee to get access to Reservoir! Maybe someone will be at London Mines December meeting where Reservoir will answer questions.?

Not sure what you are suggesting, but Chris MacIntyre is always available on the phone, and both he and Miles are in Toronto regularly. I have never found them to be anything short of very accomodating with regards to access or to answering questions which they are at liberty to answer.  TGB

really?  how many times do you have to hear chris say 2 to 3 weeks before you realize he knows nothing?  count me in the frustrated but still very long camp.  in my mind you have to own a stock that produces 2 monster intercepts 200m apart as it clearly points to a world class deposit but every time i've gotten off the phone with chris i've wanted to sell.  i& ...more

Buckshot26 – You do sound frustrated. But what’s the point. You want to shoot the messenger who can’t speak. You know that Chris M. can’t tell you anything that’s not already in the public domain. I can tell you first hand that anytime a JV is at play business get complicated and everything takes more time. I have met RMC management - they are world class (regardless how this storey ends ...more

yah i tend to agree that getting information over the phone is useless . and since it's been 3 months and nothing coming it shows me something not good.

I guess you have to sell then, your choice. Again, I don't know what you want them to tell you over the phone, they are limited in what they can share before it is released to the market. In terms of timing of results, Freeport is running that show, and they owe RMC shareholders nothing. In fact, it is in their best interests to delay and suppress the RMC price as they will looking to acquire ...more
