Freeport conference call

They just said they have 2 promising greenfield projects they are continuing in 2014. That confirms my earlier comment about drilling in Russia. They are spending $23,790,000 in 2014 for greenfield exploration. I'm disappointed they have not talked about the results of the Reservoir drilling results so for now they are not considering it material which means we will probably not get enough drilling news this month to establish this  as a tier one project.

There is no way Freeport could talk about Reservoir drilling results without first a) informing Reservoir b) allowing Reservoir to disclose - So no surprise at all. We must be patient as the games have just begun!

Your right when we did not get a news release from reservoir about any new drill results before the market opened that pointed to no announcement from Freeport. With all the problems they are having in Indonesia (most the questions after were about problems in Indonesia) I was hoping they had enough drill results to make a material announcement. It would have given the analysts some good news to ...more

I'm not excited about this profit taking and price drop right before there is suppose to be a lot of drilling results announced.  If it is good news there should be buyers not sellers.

LOL, Rob is soiling his panties about "profit taking" and worrying about every minor price fluctuation. Must be a day that ends in a Y...... 100K shares traded roughly the last couple of days. More likely day traders, swing traders and momo players going elsewhere because our recent run has slowed. Not everyone is in this for the long run. We'll run again when the results come out.  ...more

I was pointing out a 2 day drop in the stock right before results are suppose to be released is not the best sign.

I don't think anything has changed in the last day or two. The volume has been very slow on the stock. If anything it might present a good buying opportunity. And the fact that Freeport is struggling in some other markets is probably good for the reservoir. I think we need to be patient and wait to see what happens over the next few weeks or months. Time will tell in the stock but we are ...more

The only difference is we had buyers comming into the conferrence call and now some sellers since Freeport did not make any formal announcement about the serbia play.

Anyone who was really expecting Freeport to announce something about Serbia was kidding themselves.  Given where the project stands (working through drill results, no BFS, etc.) a deternimation of whether this is material to Freeport or not is completely within management's judgment.  At this point, it is not in Freeport's interest to talk about Serbia as all that will do is ...more

I would have agreed with you being an executive that was a CEO of a public company for 10 years. The difference and why I thought there might be some kind of announcement is they are reporting results to a public company. They also stated last year that they were going to release the 2013 drilling results by the end of January 2014. My hope was that if the 2013 drilling results are good enough it ...more

Rob- I understand your point completely.  My belief is that Freeport is doing everything possible to slow the flow of information in order to keep the RMC share price in check.  In this situation, regardless of what the drill results are (and I suspect they are good), Freeport will always take the position that they are not material to them on the basis that more detailed work needs to ...more
