today's trading

as psj67 says below, you don't want to pay too much attention to the day to day action, just ask yourself is the news constructive to the ultimate view that Freeport buys out the project. I believe the news in constructive in that respect so who cares if we're trading at $5, 6 or 7 or whatever. We will get our due money and hopefully sooner than later. Have a look at PVG if you want a possible interesting comparison. They put out a big 43-101 on December 19th and the stock traded flat for the following couple of sessions. It has since taken off and doubled. Markets aren't often predictable and more often than not unintuitive. Maybe the share price is being manipulated or perhaps it's just a case of sell on news. who knows... What we do know is that we posted an amazing 43-101. word is that we will see almost all of the outstanding assays in the next couple of weeks. This accompanied by some analyst upgrades should provide the strength to get us over $7 which in my mind sets us up for a buyout around $10. I could easily be wrong, but I intend to hold tight to see how she plays out. GLTA and regards, Buck

I Think rodney maybe directionally correct not paranoid. The news releases lately would seem to point to the idea that a Buyout might be sooner than later. But for RMC shareholders we might do better in the long run if we get a lot more hole results and continue to develop the property. I would like to see the outstanding results and at least another 6 months of exploration, if not a year before ...more

Let's remember that the "deal" that we are all talking about is not a binary proposition (i.e., buy all of RMC shares or no deal).  Let Freeport buy the project for cash (and maybe some of the extra property they drilled outside the JV).  RMC gets the cash (or FCX shares) and immediately declares a special dividend to shareholders of the consideration received.  RMC ...more

sure and there may even be a royalty attached that dividend on an ongoing basis. However if this is truly a tier 1 mine in the maximum payout for RMC Share holders would come from further drill results understanding of the deeper mineralization as well as understanding what they found in reconnaissance holes that apparently are showing additional discoVery potential also. a bidding war between the ...more

I absolutely agree that additional drill results are imperative.  Without them, any transaction will likely undervalue the "option" given Freeport on the additional property and subsequent drill results.  Similarly, if Freeport buys RMC in its entirety, implicit in the deal is an "option" on everything else RMC has, the value of which is nowhere close to being known.  ...more

Does anyone know if the Serbian Gov. will be able to stick their fingers in our copper lined pie?

Meester- particularly happy to receive a dividend bonus when most of my RMC stocks are now or will shortly be locked in UK tax exempt ISA's! RMC management appear to have multiple options open, especially like it if RMC were able to retain the unexplored/ non-optioned properties. A combination of FCX shares and cash included in a deal would not be a bad outcome either as long as the cash ...more

any deal I(in my opinion anyway) will of course be what we call "cash or stock plus a stub". Freeport will have no interest in our other properties so those properties along with our cash will become Reservoir New Co. (the stub). The consideration for Timok will be cash or Freeport shares. Freeport shares may avoid a taxable event for some but for me personally I would be selling my ...more

good information thanks Buck shot. my hope is Freeport spend another 20 to 30 million dollars to Define the other areas of mineralization before a deal happens. its not that I don't think management is great as management has clearly done a fantastic job. but we have a free ride to the next phase and I don't know how you can maximize the selling price when you have two potentially large ...more
