Nevsun Dismisses Baseless Criticisms

This board appears dominated by chinese interests, who are I think are trying to get Reservoir on the cheap.  Why vote no?  To see the price collapse?  where would Reservoir get the money to continue operations?  the $20 million to explore the South side, as per Freeport...It seems that these chinese interests are self serving..

There were multiple offers previously to fund through to production. Motivations on this board aren't "Chinese" interests as you proclaim them to be, but rather long term holders looking to maximize our return after waiting years for this day to finally come. Voting no doesn't bind us to gouing with the Chinese deal, it just gives us more options. Haywood research indicated ...more

OK, it seems the market disagrees with you and Reservoir is tanking.  Wish I had sold my Reservoir when it was much higher, now I'm stuck, holding the bag.  You say its not the "chinese interests" but the facts say otherwise.  Jing BAO, XGC, what are they Americans?  Canadians?, oh, I see they are shareholders that a "minority".  How can they be a ...more

Okay, where to start with this BS.... First off, Reservoir daily stock price is now tied directly to NSU. We are down today because they are down, and both are down because copper is struggling to hold $2. The market hasn't factored anything into the SP for this deal going forward or being defeated at this point in time, and it won't until the vote results are announced. I think, and ...more

Yes guru, I'm sure that Blackrock et al, are all in agreement with you.....Redervoir board didn't think much of the XGC proposal in April and before, otherwise, their proposal would have been the one selected...its inconsistent for you to own something that you know very little of, except what is being reported by management.  Know you think you now more. Insofar, as the Chinese ...more

Doesn't really make it seem like you are an RMC shareholder, now does it? As always, good luck to all, even you DixieChick if it turns out you are truely an RMC shareholder. Ultimately, at this point we are the prettiest girl at the dance and all the boys are fighting over getting a dance with us, so I don't think we can go very wrong. I just think we should be getting more for what we ...more

Got it!  So your intelligence says, that NSU management got suckered in lending RMC $50 million, and buy in at $9.40 CDN...and you go along with XGC in saying - they got no problems with that aspect....then you expect that is no break up fee...and then you get expect no price dip on the 10 million share dilution, to XGC and then you expect that XGC will lend $50 million for just 6% interest ...more

LOL, you mad bro? I think you might be dim witted DixieChick. I very clearly stated my thinking and laid out the facts as have others on this board, and re-iterated it all below again for you. You just make up a bunch of bluster and BS and claim I stated things I  clearly did not. Why NSU agreed to the structure of the deal as they did, I don't know but very clearly they left a door ...more

So in essence you are backing the Chinese Interests - or at the very least favoring them - both Jim Bao, whoever they are, and XGC.  I'm a bit confused as why you think that their alternative is better in the longggggggggg run... As I understand it, XGC and Ji Bao are trying to increase their ownership of RMC on the cheap.  Their proposal has been turned down by RMC management.  ...more

I'm pretty much done with you. You are simply interested in continuing to re-iterate the NSU talking points over and over again on this board, and you have erased any doubts that you are a plant by NSU with your last post, which reads pretty much verbatim like an NSU press release. The https://www.abetterdealforreservoir.com/ website raises similar questions about the NSU bid, so both sides ...more

Say what you want but the fact that you keep on pumping XGC, Jim BOA proposal, which is not binding, and subject to change...makes you a "Chinaman" front.  You are going against the tide on this one...As a RMC shareholder, I'm kicking myself in not cashing in at earlier levels above $9 like you did...but after doing my due diligence, I opted to tender my shares, to the NSU offer ...more

Nevsun has no proven capability in underground mining; Nevsun's only asset is in one of the least stable mining jurisdictions in the world; Nevsun's consolidated financial statements filed on SEDAR show it is carrying as assets a $38,825,000 loan  and a $5,365,000 loan to the Eritean government, which according to the accompanying Note to the Financial Statements, appears to ...more

Obce again, DixieChick completely misses the point. and tries to change the discussion to a debate on the merits of NSU against what he calls "the Chinaman", when in fact all we are voting on at this time is the NSU deal, which I think undervalues the asset which many of us have been waiting on for 6 years to capitalize on. At $8.XX per share, I think many will agree the full vaue is ...more

OK, so you call yourself  the "real shareholder".  Oh really?  I had planned not to respond to you any longer...but...you are continuing the name calling and being offensive. Management made the best deal they could within their 60 day window. They had to promote a yes vote because they did put the deal together. Now that Freeport has been paid off and  the drill bits are spinning again I would not doubt that management would also be happy with a no vote. A no vote gives us time to prove the size of the porphyry and take our time finding the right partner willing ...more

Oh great! another "real shareholder" that now says managment is "in the plot" - yes, borrow the money from Nevsun, agree on a share price of $9.40 cdn , so raise the $135 million to exercice its option on the property from Freeport- whilst quietly "knowing" that XGC and Jim Bao would be willing to buy at $8.00 cdn! Yes Reservoir tradded down to $3.00 but Nevsun tradded down below their on hand cash value. So while our deposit showed value the market valued Nevsuns's mine at less than zero not a big vote in confidence.  I did not say management was in a plot. I said they would probably not be sad to see a no vote. They did the best deal they could but probably not the one they would have preferred.& ...more

From what I can gather, NSU has been accumulated and directly/indirectly by big funds.  You can do some research to find out who.  They have been holding the stock for years, pocketing a very generous dividend.  I estimate that in 4 years they have received about 64 cents per share, US funds.  Not too bad for a $3.00 stock.  In essence they've been getting a handsome ...more

These are valid points.  a few observations: -the dissident shareholders have no credibility, if they really want this project then they should make a better offer, say a $12 per share cash bid or something.  If they view RMC as such great value why didn't they buy more shares on the open market so they can get more vote? -if RMC management believes that a "NO" vote would ...more

Best post you've made since you showed up on this board. Well thought out and reasonable, and not just a rehashing of the NSU rebuttal PR's. Fair enough that you have your opinion, but there is another side to each of the arguments you have laid out in your post, and some disagree with your asessment that there are more risks with a no vote, as Adrian Day, longtime ~5% shareholder of RMC ...more

throgb1, I agree I would love $12 for my RMC shares.  So why doesn't XGC, and Jim Bao, team up and make a superior offer to NSU.  It seems to me they want Reservoir on the cheap!  Maybe we should ask, Jim Bao, and XGC to make a binding superior proposal. Voting no at this point opens up the option for NSU, XGC, Jing Bao, Lundin, RIO, BHP. or anyone else to come forward with a new bid for RMC. All we would be doing at this point is taking a PP from XGC which would allow us to explore all options without any time constraints. We now own ~80% of the only advanced stage exploration project that is exteremly profitable even at the current depressed Cu ...more

You seem to be excuting a specific agenda of persuading readers and shareholders to vote No as it suits you.  You have not given any sound reasons, as to what happens if the deal doesn't go through, as far as required funding, termination fees, etc.  Are you supporting XGC bid  of "alternative financing", yes or no?
