Thoughts on the Dermal Injector

I just visited my dermatologist for my annual check-up. The clinic where she works has a very good reputation in Canada. I was interested in getting her opinion on the dermal injector that Replicel is proposing to bring to the market. I told her that it is extremely precise and is capable of freezing the skin before the skin is injected with the soft filler (ie. botox, etc.).

The Doctor told me that the injector would only be of value if it improved outcomes and was cost effective. She stated that they are already very satisfied with the outcomes they achieve with their patients. After hearing this, I couldn't help but think of the Replicel dermal injector and a comment my Father used to make - "This is the case of a solution looking for a problem!"

I hope I am wrong!

I doubt that this method would ever show a cost advantage over the traditional method. On ...more

Yes you would think Yofoto would want to launch the Phase 2 trials in China as soon as they were ready to go and not wait for the Dermal Injector to be used.  On the other hand it lends credibility to the device for marketing purposes. As far as the name of the device from the Sept. 29th tweet: "The electronic engineers behind the scenes of our RCI-02 dermal injector (brand name to be ...more
