BALLARD LAKE PROPERTY GEOLOGY AND OCCURRENCES
The Company’s Ballard Lake property covers two diamond-bearing kimberlite dikes: GC1 (16 diamonds from 93.1 kg) (in the Mantle Lake property occurrence area) and Fletch (6 diamonds from 51.48 kg) which were discovered by previous explorers on surface. Historical diamond results were reported by Chalice Diamond Corp. in February 2008. The Company’s Qualified Person had direct involvement in sampling and diamond recovery of the GC-1 occurrence following its discovery in 2001 by Mike Tremblay (vendor of the Ballard Lake property and 2013 Ontario Prospector of the Year).
The mineralized zones that occur on the Property include the Ballard Lake Showing (Au), Davies Lead Occurrence (Pb, Au), Davies Gold Occurrence (Au), Cordell Occurrence (W, Au), Hand Lake Occurrence (Cu), M.P.D. Showing (Zn, Cu), Robert Showing (Au), Dalton Project (Cu, Fe), Geodex No. 2 Dike (Diamond, Kimberlite), Fletch Occurrence (Diamond, Kimberlite), Mantle Lake Property (Diamond, Kimberlite), and Tremblay Sample AA-1 (Kimberlite). There are no mineral resources or mineral reserves within the Property boundaries.
REGIONAL GEOLOGY
The predominant rocks on the Property are mafic to intermediate volcanics, massive granodiorite/granite and gneissic tonalite. Some smaller bodies of sedimentary rock, felsic to intermediate volcanic rock, mafic to ultramafic rock and kimberlite dykes are also present. Several mineral occurrences have been documented on the Property including gold, base metals, kimberlite and diamond.
RT MINERALS CORP. STRIPPING, SAMPLING AND ASSAYING PROGRAM 2016
Manual stripping, power stripping and sampling were completed by RT Minerals in June 2016. Assaying was completed by Swastika Laboratories of Swastika, Ontario.
The program was carried out to test for gold mineralization along the contact of the granodiorite stock and metavolcanics south of Ballard Lake. Historical work reported gold values along the contact within a zone referred to as the Ballard Lake Shear Zone that is characterized by ribbon banded schists, quartz veining and sulphides (galena, chalcopyrite and pyrite)
