The leading cause of the global food crisis we are facing is going to be soil degradation and the lack of nutrients - making it necessary to safeguard critical minerals in support of agricultural production including Potash due to its ability to boost crop yields and balance crop productivity.
However, 40% of the global supply of potash is currently unavailable due to sanctions on Russia and Belarus, emphasizing the need for alternative sources.
The largest deposit of Potash that is close to production in the US is located within Sage Potash's (SAGE.v) district-scale potash project situated in Utah's prolific Paradox Basin which is known to host extensive underdeveloped world-class potash resources, totalling approx. 2 billion tons
SAGE recently added to its existing portfolio of 83,000 acres of mineral leases and permit applications with the acquisition of over 5,000 additional acres of private leases for a total of 88,118 acres and representing a 6% increase in the total land package.
As the US imports 95% of its potash requirements from Canada, SAGE is strongly positioned to satisfy a significant portion of US potash demands by delivering a secure line of supply with its large-scale, high-grade potash resource.
On track to ensure a short path to initial production, SAGE is pioneering a new scalable, environmentally friendly and cost-effective method of potash production in the US.
I'd recommend checking out this interview with SAGE CEO Peter Hogendoorn from InvestorIntel for more information: https://youtu.be/tVVz1gBbAEY
