Soil degradation => Global Food Crisis
Soil degradation and the lack of nutrients is the leading cause of the global food crisis we are going to be facing - making it necessary to safeguard critical minerals in support of agricultural production.
Potash, a potassium-rich compound with the ability to boost crop yields and balance crop productivity, is one of these minerals, however, 40% of the global supply of potash is currently unavailable due to sanctions on Russia and Belarus.
Thus, the need for alternative sources is clear and the largest deposit of Potash that is close to production in the US is located within Sage Potash's (SAGE.v) district-scale potash project.
On track to ensure a short path to initial production, SAGE is pioneering a new scalable, environmentally friendly and cost-effective method of potash production in the US.
Situated in Utah's prolific Paradox Basin which is known to host extensive underdeveloped world-class potash resources, totalling approx. 2 billion tons, SAGE has a total of 88,118 acres of mineral leases and permit applications having recently acquired over 5,000 additional acres of private leases.
As the US imports 95% of its potash requirements from Canada, SAGE is strongly positioned to satisfy a significant portion of US potash demands by delivering a secure line of supply with its large-scale, high-grade potash resource.
I'd recommend checking out this interview with SAGE CEO Peter Hogendoorn from InvestorIntel for more information: https://youtu.be/tVVz1gBbAEY
