Takeover target?? Salt

As a long time investor (45 years) the biggest concern I have here with Atlas is someone coming in and buyng us out for a song. I have had it happen 4 times with juniors with wonderful prospects that I owned. Yes I made money but only a fraction of what I should have had managment been tough. Someone comes along and offers 2.05 a share for Salt. This would be heart beaking as it is surely worth 10 times this, if developed by the Altas and Vulcan group. With devlopment in 2 to 5 years this could be a 20.00 stock and Vulcan by vertue of its massive portion of ownership could be trading at 3.00 a share.   So if anyone comes along trying to buy us out I can only hope we have tough negotiators the likes of Robert Friedland re Voisys Bay Nickle and Inco.    Dont give it away!!!!

I'm all for raiding the treasurys just dont want this sold out for pennys on the dollar.  You say you dont care if it gets bought out ok, me either, but the price had better be north of 10.00 a share mininum. I'm a long term holder who bought into Vulcan and ...more

Well my take is that the company is staffed with people at the top who wont sell out for a cheap quick buck. If the offer is high enough that there is a benefit to the shareholders, well past 10 a share....well past that, then I think they would entertain an offer. Otherwise they will simply develop the resource. There are seasoned industry veterans at the helm and they know the potential.  ...more
