Atlas Salt Inc > This winter has ZERO impact...

This winter has ZERO impact...

...on Atlas...I mean ZERO impact.  The supply and demand for road salt has been determined long before December 11th 2021.  They have what they need, whether from Quebec, Goderich, Europe or Argentiana for that matter.  Posts that make claims that either we have no winter yet OR it's going to be a bad one and we need salt are pure and simple hype and discredit the business model.   Actually it shows they have no clue what it means to be in the salt business....period.  What Atlas DOES have is a VERY economically viable supply source which WILL be tapped.  It's the simple business catch phrase, "supply and demand".  You check your sources to meet the demand, predictable or not,.. weigh the costs to ship, store the product, then do your cost analysis...it ain't rocket science.   #SALT has the distinct advantage and I reiterate the DISTINCT advantage to produce the needs of the entire Eastern seaboard and beyond and cost effectively.  Tell me how I know and come to that conclusion...
Atlas has the goods, the impact of those goods won't be noticed until we either get bought out or developed for the following winter season.  Mark my words, this resource won't take long to develop...

You are correct on that my man. For example harveys on the waterfront of St Johns has more salt then will be used this year. Everyone that needs salt has their salt for this season. They will need some lead time to secure contracts and orders. It does not mean jack squat what this season is like, it has zero impact on atlas. Mr Salt is surely reaching out to his contacts.

Twoponds, i think everyone will agree with you, SALT is what it is, pure speculation on the future being timed with promotion, press releases, and rumors in the mill. It always works this way initially. The price of SALT has come from $0.10 to $1.70 in less than a year, the profits for everyone on this forum have been spectacular - wouldn't you agree? Most have take their profits and played ...more

I have to disagree with you on a couple of things. You say there is enough salt in the market. But, For example, all of the salt used in Newfoundland is imported from over seas, it is very expensive to do this. Yea the whole provience uses salt from various over seas imports. This rings true for most of the eastern seaboard. So There is a hunger for domestic product that can be delivered at a ...more

Crunchy,  there isn't anything to disagree about, I agree 1) that the salt used in NFLD is imported, as well as the Eastern Seaboard to a large degree and 2) Pugwash is near the end of life due to smaller and less desirable quality of the remaining resource. The value of SALT today cannot, and is not, based upon production and revenue, but however based on the size of the resource and ...more

It does not matter what you or I think. The fact is that there is a market void for domestic product that is going to get larger when pugwash finally reaches the end of its economic viability which is fast approaching. This is a massive, easy to mine resource next to a port and infrastructure in the area. It will get big and it will be huge.

I'm really failing to understand what the difficulty of understanding is with The Spinco DomeCo along with the Great Big Atlantic.....Voisey Bay of $SALT.....add them together and it all equals a boatload, a bloody big boatload of Doubloons galore. As long as you hold those shares....until them fingers start to bleed...and don't let them professional foolers fool you...this be a game for ...more

If there are companies circling wanting this resource I wonder if shares are being slowly bought now by them. I read that when voiseys bay was bought out about 25% of the float had already been bought up by the suiter on the cheap before the buyout deal was made. Someone could be buying and stashing shares to basically save money if a buyout was attempted. I dont know and thats just a guess on my ...more
