An excellent overview...I've shared it wherever I can!  No-brainer here folks hang on!

Certainly cannot understand how dome suggest a $5.00 buyout considering we're already over $3.00 without any FS or updated resource of 43-101 or anything. Two more dollars? Huh what? Personally I'd be sticking the VB 2.0 label on this derisked "so much $SALT elephant country" area. Consider the Stephenville & area resource grab......I think we're on to something very ...more

$5/ is a crock...unless you're a thief.  Most laugh at the Crunchmeister's $67/ price target but I tell you it is not an impossibility... two...

The guys laughing at my price prediction actually know little about the reaource, market or the management. They show their ignorance while argueing with me quoting wrong numbers and stats. If a company whats to take over the market and perhaps close an expensive mine or two that they own and replace it with low cost supply. Well the sky could be the limit for a buyout offer.

Sure seams as if we're a lot more surrounded by the "unreads" than initially thought eh? The easiest point of reference for the "over $fi dolla" is the Rowland Factor. Goderich=Rowland=CMP=NYSE= $100.00 Recent 52 week activity year high $75.00 US

But SR according to my crayon chart that me and fluffy my cat made we can see that noone will be using salt due to global warming, crisis or whatever we are calling it this week. The world will have no winters in three years. And salt is bad for your blood pressure so the doctors are saying to cut down an salt. This will peak at $5 and not a penny more.  Besides who needs a mine for salt ...more

The limit is what you can reasonable expect to profit from on the mine itself, and those who research these things for a living as opposed to dreams of a quick payday aren't projecting anything close to $50 a share. The mine is comparable to Goderich in terms of life cycle, cheaper production and cheaper shipping. So experts would give it a premium. Goderich produces 7.25 million tons a year ...more

good post with good info canticle. However I would value all of AtLAS Salt plus its significant retained stake in the spinout as much as Compass . Compass trades at $32 ,U.S or $40 ,Canadian. ATLAS is a long way away from producing and selling what Goderich is doing so discount it 50 percent to be conservative. That gives us $20 Canadian. Of course one might vote yes to a proposed buyout at 12$ or ...more

Godridge costs like $44 per ton to mine the salt. Is a complicated and expensive mine. Atlas on the otherhand will be super super cheap to mine. Lowest cost producer wins. They could produce at a cost that makes other mines unprofitable.  I think you are too low in your estimate. Oh and dont forget that whoever operated Atlas will control the whole salt sector.  If i were running ...more
