Great Atlantic will blow away legacy salt mines in NORAM
I get a kick out of reading posts in which people have proclaimed that Great Atlantic is only worth $5 / share. What some people fail to recognize is that Great Atlantic will be set up from the onset to be the lowest cost producer in North America. The dominant players in the salt industry operate legacy shaft mines that they not only paid billions of dollars to acquire, they've had to pump millions into the operations to upgrade them.
Great Atlantic with incline ramps and continuous mining, will be the most efficient operating mine in North America as well as the most derisked, safest mine. I'm confident there will be a bidding war as the US Justice department antitrust rules really handcuff US operators as they look to acquire new sources of salt and having the Great Atlantic deposit in Canada close to the Northeast United States is an extra bonus.
Great Atlantic is the ULCC (in airline terms) competing with legacy operators with their inherently higher operating costs.

The mine will be super low cost and efficienr I predict a 400-500 million profit per year at a modist 8 million ton per year. @ $80 per ton.
