Any New News

Nice to see salt moving back up on decent volumes. Is there any news out?
Comment by nedstar71 on Jan 09, 2023 12:39pm
No worries it will come.  Somewhat concerned about the pre-move on news everyone knows is coming as that can sometimes signal a sell on news event.  Hoping that won't be the case here.

Usually you should expect that before it continues up depending on the news of course
Comment by nedstar71 on Jan 09, 2023 5:33pm
I hear you.  In this particular case everyone is already expecting news that will completely blow the doors off though.  When said news comes out it can be an "is that it?" moment if it doesn't exceed expectations which are already astronomically high.  Let's hope Roland exceeds everyone's lofty expectations by a long shot!

agreed A lot like that ridiculous $76 per share price that was throwing around when this was heading up past four dollars look how that turned out

According to 'Mr. Salt', the investment is worth as much as it was when trading above $4, if not more. And I think he knows better, unless you say otherwise.

That's full developed mine even Rowland said he put Compass minerals up over $100 a share and this is bigger more efficient.
Comment by DeputyDawg on Jan 10, 2023 9:43am
You need to forget Atlas building this out or ever seeing $100 per share. 100% it won't happen. Consultants were appointed last year for a good reason.    Atlas currently has no FS and no permit so no construction until 2024 and likely 3 years to production.  Rowland and Patrick don't want to hang around that long. Important board member now is John Anderson who is there ...more

3 years from now - not from 2024.

A very realistic breakdown. However, they have much more optimistic timelines for developing the mine themselves, that is, if they have to and since the decision is based on others bidding, and bidding at fair value, we cannot be certain be 100% certain how it will pan out. Question is, what npv would be considered fair value in an offer and what would be considered worse than own development?..my ...more

I don't disagree with both options having merit, but just can't see the timelines being any more optimistic when they are not even in a postion to make a permitting application before the FS is out.  Then there are environmental hurdles to get over as with any large industrial application, especially mining, even in their friendly locality. Then it has to be built. That's why IMO ...more

Good points, but I have heard of numbers in late 2024. That is why I said more optimistic timeline. I could be wrong, but we are dealing with a resource with minimal surface disturbance, no chemical waste, abundance value and job creation that will have some political will steam. A bid could be done contigent to environmental permitting and the bidder would start to pay for the process at own risk ...more

Both of you make good points. That is why I think that Atlas would take  1 billion dollar bid in a heartbeat.. My concern is who can raise that kind of coin?
Comment by nedstar71 on Jan 11, 2023 10:17am
The news they released today and the resulting trading is a good example of what I was referring to.
Comment by Liked2Think on Jan 11, 2023 10:33am
this news months ago would had sent the stock up 40 cents.  today its down. Id say you were 100% correct in your accessment.   But no lets keep talking about $76/share and some massive bidding war by the worlds biggest companies.  Frickin ridiculous. the pumpers over on ceo have set this up that when the PEA is released the SP had better double and when the FS is released ...more
