I like this action

Share price is up significantly (20+%) this week on moderate trading volume and flat Ag prices.

This tells me that someone new is accumulating shares, but slowly.

Given that I was already overweight this stock, I have the best problem in the world - trying to decide when to capture some gains as I rebalance my portfolio.  Put simply, when do I let go of some shares.

Any thoughts on that?  Given that I acquired some as high as 0.77 USD in 2014, I'm thinking of liquidating those when they get back there, but I would welcome some wisdom from this group as to what the 18 month upside is from here.

Upside is HUGE!!! Infer structure work completed includes refurbished both mills and expanded both mines, they now own their assets without leasing one of the mines, they are FINALLY drilling their HUGE mineralized land package, silver is a time bomb ready to blow (my opinion on that). Why in the world sell this puppy now after a small recent run? I'm up over 400% on 200k shares and not about ...more

Since you asked.  Don't sell at .77US.  Let silver's two dynamics work for you.  As a commodity metal with increasing industrial demand AND as a precious metal and thus an inflation  hedge. The company has made fundamental improvements with near perfect timing to take advantage of  this silver bull market. I expect SCZ to end this year between .50 and 1.00 CAN ...more

Vox, another thing about SCZ is that at some point the pace of change could accelerate.  Meaning,  If you accept that we are in a silver bull market, my expected rate of upward momentum could be proven rather slow. $1 SCZ this year, $1-$2 next, over $2 the year after.  Bull markets do, or can, have blowout tops.  Just look at the two times silver has hit $50.  Steep lines ...more

I agree with all points.  The positive company fundamentals are the main reason I invested years ago.  This leadership team are proven operators. I'm less certain about this whole narrative that Silver is the most shorted asset in history.  I get that a lot of people like to think that and talk about it, but I found the recent Saturday Palisades podcast with Jeff Christian to ...more

Don't you understand, the silver price is shorted so that the banks get to buy the producer's silver at cheap and then the banks resell those silver at higher prices?  Producers need capital or certainty in the price of sales, so they hedge their production to raise capital.   Bank traders routinely short the prices and fluctuate the price, and sell the theory that you ...more

I have heard this a Lot, but only Rick Rule explained it in enough detail to be credible. I am very curious about the amount of leveraged/hypothecated/paper silver as compared to physical in the vaults.  There is nothing inherently evil about a fractional reserve system, so long as it is transparent. I Love that WSS is focused on stacking the physical.  If there is a fraud, that will ...more

Gold and silver are both money. More public purchase of gold and silver means less in USD-denominated derivatives sold by the banks and US dollar holdings. For that reason, the US banks and US Govt are both highly motivated to keep the price and gold and silver low.
