It's not just Stroud but other exploration stocks that have been experiencing delays.  I suspect supply and labor issues and lab backups.  There appears to be these types of issues for many junior miners.  However, shareholders are certainly owed an update by now regardless of the reasons for a delay, since it's 4 months past when we expected the completion of the drill

The other companies you reference that also are experiencing major delays hsve the kept their shareholders informed?

Yes, other companies I own or follow have given updates on their planned driliing programs and reasons for any delays unusally within a couple of months of planned programs, to inform shareholders of progress.   Speciific examples I recall:  summer wildfires, permitting delays, not being able to get drillers, equipment manfunctions or not getting needed equipment, and drilling
