Great news! patience.

Total should be coming out with something soon in regards to block 2913b tamboti 1x exploration well. If I remember correctly they spudded before us but have a greater water depth to deal with.

Anyhow great news we have a behemoth!! bought some more.

Galp spuds second appraisal well on massive Namibia discovery — exploration well is next "Galp Energia has spudded an appraisal well on its huge Mopane discovery offshore Namibia and has also identified the targets for its third exploration probe in its prolific Petroleum Exploration Licence 83 in the Orange basin. In April, after drilling two exploration wells and carrying out a drill stem ...more

After this "ballsy" move with every additional well drilled we have another very strong evidence that Mopane is THE sweet spot in the Orange Basin and lucky Sintana is part of this party.

Lol! Galp sure is slow to put out updates. We were all waiting for the news about this spud, and here it is. They started drilling 10 days ago. This is going to be an exciting adventure sooner rather than later.

Great post. There may be some confusion as to the labels of the AVO's as used by Galp. Note there are only three types of AVO-Class 1, 2 and 3. Galp are using their 'AVO' numbers to define a specific horizon within the Cretaceous sequence. So my interpretation of 'AVO-13' is that there is an AVO in the  horizon they are calling '13'. GALP don't specify if it is ...more
