significant?

Along with the .5 meter NFG  hit on their last news release that they did not go deeper

on is this related?  All opinions welcome/ IKE

A remarkable feature of the Moosehead deposit is that the mineralization is virtually identical to that of Kirkland Lake Gold’s successful Fosterville mine in Australia. Froude has traveled to that site and returned with vein and host rock samples that look the same as those from Fosterville.

“If you are checking boxes and putting the two in context, the deposits have the same relative age, same rock types, comparable rock history, same vein geochemistry with antimony and arsenic,” said Froude.

Between 1990 and 2004 about 10,000 metres were cored at Moosehead, mainly to depths of less than 100 metres. Only one hole went  deep and  cut 278 grams gold over 0.45 metres at a depth of 257 metres.

Anybody got a better answer than Megacopper without avoiding the question. Whoops my bad ...Megacopper below. Well I do think SIC has similar rock to that of NFG but they are just now understanding the geology of the property and starting to re-evaluate how they have been drilling the Moosehead property. I do not understand why SIC's share price hasn't done better. The only thing I can figure out is that they aren't on the Appleton fault but on the other ...more

You don@t understand why the price is not better....big difference is NFG as only 27 millions shares@ for trade the rest is insider and Sprott, Mcewen Palissade etc.we are not on the appleton fault but we are on the same fault of Valentine Lake

Have to disagree there guy491 It is all about structure as Tim has said. NFG has a very good idea of structure and is further along because of QH. NO one is sure what SIC has. When NFG hits they are just proving out the structure when SIC hits everyone is just asking what the heck is going on. Biggest head scratcher now is both hitting high grade at 250 and 257 meters If you can figuire out ...more

In case you don't know we have over 700 meters to drill with high grade and open in all directions

Likeike you are correct why NFG market cap is about 15 times of SIC. NFG also has 100KM massive property. Having said that we should all stop the comparisons. Accomplishes little. SIC is valued at roughly what it should be for NOW. GLTA

If a comparison is so necessary, there isn't one. NFG has 5 times the cash, far more rigs working and a 26 times higher SP at the IPO and huge historical drilling records to redirect their exploration. Their exploration is eons ahead due to far more targets and far more cash. IPO of NFG was for $1.30 per share last year. Without a monster dilution they  increased total assets to $19,605 ...more

Love it SIC has now jumped to beyond compare as they have taken a large land position and expanded the whole area. This will have even more geos scratching their heads. Oreogenic gold is where it is at. Are there more land claims to come from others:"IKE

Just using common sense, this is a great win for the Company at no real cost. Huge land package and I looked at where it is strategically and only goods things likely in the future. They could set themselves up to be a bit like Teuton and option out some large areas.  GLTA

Forgot to add that Tim knows Newfoundland like the back of his hand being born and raised there. He knows the geology and nice that he is on the ball and picked this up. You know he had his reasons.  GLTA

Just talk with Tim: will not lose one hour of dedicated work at Moosehead because of this acquisition. Companies are flocking here and it was only a matter of time before it got picked up. If this property got away from us, our shareholders would have lost a great opportunity and I would have lost two years of effort in putting it together. I think this property is where Central Newfoundland was ...more
