SIC "Drilling has been temporarily suspended".....?
On the "Management Profiles" page of SIC's website, there is a quote shown from CEO Timothy Froude which states:
"Drilling has been temporarily suspended and is expected to resume in mid-to-late May with two drills onsite, and a third drill expected in early June.”
Questions for those much more familiar with SIC and Newfoundland geography and weather than I am:
1) When was the drillling suspended?
2) Is the suspension of drilling common amongst all junior gold exploration companies in Central Newfoundland, and did all other companies in fact experience similar suspensions over a similar time frame?
3) Does this suspension occur every year, and if so, what is the typical period of suspension from start to resumption of drilliing?
4) Is this part of the reason why SIC has only produced one assay results press release since February 23 (i.e., April 28), or is it due to long delays in getting assay results back from the lab(s) they use to conduct the assays, or both, and/or other factors.....?

Drill results pending. Drilling is full tilt ahead. Great results so far with a new zone discovery. Grades are unreal. Just as food as NFG.

It is best to call IR regarding this. Wet conditions occur across Canada in the spring every year. Equipment cannot operate properly due to mud and water. Waiting for drainage and drying is a must. That occurs in the mining, oil and gas, lumber and a host of others. All will temorarily cease operations till they are able to resume.

winr, thanks for the info. Fgured it was probably due to ground conditions. I suspect it may also depend on the terrain of your particular parcel of land, how wet it becomes in the spring, and how quickly it (naturally) drains and dries......?
