Could someone please explain if , or we can trade on the US exchange. The trading symbol for Socoman is SIC on the Canadian exchanges but on the US side the symbol for Sokoman is SICNF . For some reason I cant seem to put an order in on TD Waterhouse. I'd really appreciate some help . Thanks

Yes it sure does trade under SICNF on the OTC pink sheets. I have a small amount bought in US dollars via ScotiaItrade in Canada. 90% of my holding are SIC in Canada. Talk to your broker what the issue is. BC

I use TDW and for sure you cannot buy on the OTC thru TDW but why would you want to? It's the same stock! Are you in the US? You cannot trade through TDW so that tells me you are a Canadian. So I ask? Why do you want to buy SICNF? IF you have a $US account that you want to use the money from to buy SIC  then just open the $US account and enter your order for SIC. It will ...more

This is the worst advice I had to chime in. First of all I am based in Canada and have a very small portion (less than 10%) in SICNF. I had spare USD in my US$ TFSA account which is the reason why. So I have no problem buying any US stock including OTC via my ScotiaItrade.  Second of all, you are telling this guy to go ahead and buy a US stock using CND dollar trading account? You get hosed ...more
