Smart Money

If I was new to the area I woud do the following:

1. Buy NFG
2. Buy SIC

WIth NFG you also get a share of LAB. Not sure if NFG own  a stake in NFLD. In any event, with the land packages both have, you get the sure thing plus great exploration potential. I think that is what you are seeing. I would not bother screwing around with dozens and dozens of other no names. But that is just me. To each his/her own.

PS
Oops I did it again. I added to my NFG at 13.19 earlier. Happy with my position there now.

That is your point of view BC to stay with your winners but i don't share your philosophie. i'm convinced with all the money pourring in NFLD that there will be new discoveries from juniors who didn't start drilling yet. I put a good part of my portfolio where Sprot have invested. Je vous souhaite bonne chance!

MM -- do you happen to have a summary of which companies/levels Sprott has invested in around Newfoundland?

BC -- I have mainly focused attention on SIC as NFG seems to be highly valued already. Am not sure there is sufficient info available for a newbie to determine if NFG is properly valued at the moment, valued in anticipation of future drill results or undervalued based on what has already been uncovered.  Could/Would you be so kind as to comment as to how you perceive the current NFG price in ...more

Kewl002 I am a SIC investor since 2018 and have a large position. You can read my posts here on my thoughts about it which are more bullish than ever. Good value compared to others in the region.  However, last Monday and Tuesday, I bought a decent positoin in NFG and in fact added to it today. Why? I understand the nature of NFG, did my research the prior weekend after being nudged a bit ...more

Hey BC ....NFG has still 10% of NFLD for NFL giving the some property in I think  Jonathan Pond to explore....I have not checked recently. You have said exactly what I would say to anyone new in the area but would add  that if NFG goes up 10 X how is that an expensive stock? It you find it expensive then by 10 shares. People have very silly ideas that a stock has to be cheap in order ...more

I agree LikeIke on what many overlook which is having infrastructure near by.  The Newfoundland companies not only are close to excellent infrastructure, however they have one thing which is as valuable as the actual gold in the ground. IT IS CALLED SOCIAL LICENSE TO MINE. No indigenous land claims, that I am aware of, excellent infrastructure and ability to actually get permitted (social ...more

100% agree - it's not just the drill results coming in for the hype here, it's the set up and the governemnt clearly not standing in the way and even encouraging these develoments and job prospects in the province.  It's a perfect storm hense all the hype in these companies lately.
