Big disappointment PR

Today's PR sneaked in after the start of trading today was the reason for such a long delay. I think I posted about a week ago we did not have a big hit and the next PR would be a cluster of holes which is exactly what we got today. Hole 505 in the PR was released previously and excluding that, nothing impressive. I just happened to note the PR and had no idea until now it was out which is why it was sneaked in.

The gold price directly impacts producing companies and to a lessor degree, advanced stage juniors which has pre-feas or feasibility 43-101s out. Means nothing for juniors like SIC unless they are moving in a upward direction where it can be a bit of a tailwind.

Oh well, I plan to enjoy the spring and not pay to much attention here until they come out with something really impressive and sustainable which can have ounces add up to at least a hill of beans. Too bad we could not keep the momentum gained in spring 2020 which is now 2 years ago.  NFG is doing well with never ending mega zones.

It was more than a PR failure, it practically disproved the geological interpretation. The holes hit their intended targets, but only found marginal mineralization in thin veinlets. None of the holes around 505 hit significant mineralization. They can spin it as much as they want, but it proves that the near-surface high grade zones dont extend neither to strike, nor depth.

I do not know about the geological interpretation of this zone, however your comment about "it proves that the near surface high grade zones dont extend neither to strike, nor depth" is factually untrue and this PR does not indicate any such thing. This drilling is not conclusive in so far as the 463 zone let alone the eastern trend or other SIC zones which are open and the drill results ...more

Hi BC, Did you have time to watch the video that accompanied the PR?  If so, what are your thoughts?  The company sees this latest development as a positive or are they just spinning it? I'm still holding hundreds of thousands of shares here.  I was told recently that someone who purchased over seven million shares decided to sell a million - which obviously put a lot pf ...more

Hi Goldred,  I did watch the video which was unusual in a PR which was also filed one hour into trading which is also unusual. I think some are taking my earlier post the wrong way. I am not throwing in the towel on SIC as I have been invested since 2018. I have a position of several hundred thousand shares here. The geological understanding likely is aided by today. i get that. However ...more

BC, for once I disagree with your assessment. I think we had all hoped for a few homerun hits out of the early holes drilled into and around 463, but the likelihood of that happening was always low. Today's news excites me as it is clear they finally have an understanding of where the source of the high grade is coming from. Regardless of modeling, the first few holes into this area were ...more

"Today's news excites me as it is clear they finally have an understanding of where the source of the high grade is coming from. Regardless of modeling, the first few holes into this area were always going to be guesses at best, that is because of the level of complexity associated with orogenic systems. I will write my own post on this later when I have time, but I am very happy with ...more
