my take on the latest results
Obviously this is good news for SUP. I will try to keep this simple. The zone of interest (sedimentary package) sits around 300 - 350 m depth and runs for at least 200m east-west. It is relatively low grade but the most important factor is that it encountered high grade ore at depth within these sediments. SUP simply reentered the old hole LCS19 and deepened it by about 100m. That made all the difference. Now SUP can expand on this information. The hole is near the center of a deep mag low and near inferred faults.. I expect they will concentrate new drilling in the centre of the mag low which runs for another 900m west- a string of six + holes at least westward ( define the grade and thickness of this deposit). They could reenter several holes previously drilled to the south to hasten the process. Several holes have already encountered gold mineralization - ie. LCS19-008 1.54g/t over 15.2m. Bottom line, SUP has identified where to concentrate on target 1- in the middle and westward. I would like to see at least one hole even deeper - down to at least 450m ( 300mtvd). I suspect they are touching the top of the main zone of gold mineralization. Once SUP has determined strike length, then they need to go north (600m+) and find where it subcrops, assuming the zone dips the same as Nelligan (70 degrees SSE). They have a ton of drilling to do!!
Four additional holes to be released target two completely separate mag low anomalies - targets 1b and 2 .These targets are the same size and magnetic intensity- if these hit then repeat the same process as with target 1 twice over! - big big potential upside ( for what it's worth VSR owns half of target 1b) Both targets are 2-2.5km further west and on strike. Any drilling success will open up the Nelligan deformation corridor let alone add to more and more drilling. Finally SUP's last target ( to be drilled this winter) is almost two km long and is a further 5 km west and any success on this mag anomaly really opens up the Nelligan corridor!! This is what I am excited about!
Back to target 1. I feel the next round of drilling ( Jan.2021) will really start to define the potential of this showing and it's relevence to Renard West. The two remaining holes will help in this regard. I understand SUP will be continually drilling so there will be no lack of news - exciting times ahead.
Merry Christmas everyone and happy holidays. Stay safe for a prosperous New Year
